Body Skin-Care Tips and Treatment

Body Skin-Care Tips and Treatment
For temporary tightening, try a body cream formulated with caffeine, which "acts as a humectant, drawing water into the skin and filling in little divots," says Amy Wechsler, a dermatologist in New York City. Spreading on self-tanner can also "conceal lumps and bumps," but the effect is ephemeral. Although the market is inundated with a seemingly endless supply of anticellulite treatments, in Wechsler's opinion, the best option for smoothing out your rump is good, old-fashioned exercise!

How to Stay Young Naturally

How to stay young is an interesting topic for those who have aged

But if you want to stay young you should do it from an early age. There are some people who from birth look young without doing anything.

For those who do not get blessings, please look carefully at how to make our faces and bodies naturally healthy and youthful.

1. Regularly consume fruits and vegetables

The first way to stay young is to be diligent or to consume fruits and vegetables. Why? Fruits and vegetables are rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals which are very helpful in the process of cell regeneration. In order for the body to stay young and healthy, the main thing is to maintain the cell regeneration process is not disturbed. Fruits and vegetables are also rich in healthy, which helps the digestion process of food can be absorbed in the body optimally. A good digestive process will minimize the resulting waste from what we eat. Minimizing the presence of waste products in the body will make the stomach and intestines healthier and more productive in absorbing food juices.

2. Smile a lot and be grateful

The second way to stay young is to smile and be grateful. Stress is one of the causes of premature aging. One of the natural ways to deal with stress is to smile a lot. Our faces that smile easily will have a positive effect on the environment we are in. The process of smiling itself also triggers the release of hormones that make our bodies healthy. Like smiling, being grateful also has a good effect on the body. A person who is always grateful makes his body relaxed and not tense. A relaxed body makes the body's metabolic processes fully usable for the process of repairing damaged cells or cells that are malfunctioning.

3. Get enough rest

The third way to stay young is adequate rest. Human resting, besides functioning to rest the mind, also functions to rest the important organs of the human body which are very supportive of the life process. Just as vehicles are occasionally serviced and not used continuously, so is the human body which is the vehicle for our souls in life on this earth.

4. Health meditation

The fourth way to stay young is to regularly do health meditation. There are various health meditation techniques that can be practiced. Meditation makes us sensitive to the body, control our emotions and get closer to our soul. Meditation makes us healthy both physically and spiritually. This health meditation serves to nourish our minds. So a new term appears: "In a healthy soul or mind, there is a healthy body." Research conducted in several countries has shown that women who are diligent in doing meditation will look 10 years younger or more.

5. Fasting

The fifth way to stay young is fasting. Fasting was practiced by many ancient peoples in any tradition. So fasting behavior is a global tradition in the past. In Java, there is fasting that is still maintained today, apart from the Weton fast, there is a Monday fasting practice as well as white fasting. In Christian tradition it is customary to observe fast and abstinence within the 40 day period before Easter, whereas for Muslims, fasting is performed for 30 days during the month of Ramadan.

6. Exercise regularly

One of the easiest sports to do is walk. According to research, Indonesians walk the least. If in the past people diligently walked to school, college or work. Currently, walking has been replaced by four-wheeled or two-wheeled vehicles.

How does fasting affect the human body? During fasting it turns out that our metabolic system will slow down, which simultaneously will have the same effect on the skin aging process. This means that it slows down the skin aging process. Although it still needs to be studied and put into practice, there is a study which says that fasting for 12 hours will give you a youthful effect for 1 hour.

As reported by Healthy Diet Base, when fasting, the colon will automatically be cleaner than usual. This makes the intestines able to absorb food nutrients much better than usual. Good nutrition will also be good for skin health.

Conclusion How to Stay Young Naturally

Of the 5 ways to stay young described above. The important points are: First. How to maintain the body's metabolism to function optimally. Second. How to get food with good nutrition. Third. How to relax the body's organs so that they can function optimally.

Tips to get rid of Dandruff with Sugar

Tips to get rid of Dandruff with Sugar

One of the many health problems that can interfere with activities and reduce self-confidence is dandruff. How not, because this complaint can cause itching on the scalp, making hair oily and look dirty.

Tips to get rid of dandruff and Hair fall
Tips to get rid of dandruff and Hair fall

Dandruff itself is a scalp disorder characterized by the formation of white scales (squama) on the hair or scalp of varying sizes and amounts.

One of the causes of dandruff is the buildup of oil and dirt on the scalp. To help overcome this problem, an effort you can do is to take advantage of sugar.

Tips for Mixing Sugar to Overcome Dandruff

Based on the narrative of dr. Astrid Wulan Kusumoastuti, the main principle of using sugar to treat dandruff is to use it as a scrub.

"This is the same concept as making a scrub made from natural ingredients for the face, lips, or body, which uses a coarse texture (in this case sugar) to remove accumulated dead skin cells," said dr. Astrid.

So, how do you mix sugar to treat dandruff on the scalp?

Used Directly As a Scrub

To help remove dead skin cells from the scalp, you can mix sugar with a little olive oil and salt.

Apply the mixture to your scalp while doing gentle massage movements while rotating the fingertips clockwise.

Do it for a few moments, let it sit for an hour, and rinse it off using clean water afterward.

Combined with Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

So that dead skin cells in the hair and head can be removed optimally, you can mix one tablespoon of sugar with dandruff shampoo.

How to use it the same as when you wash your hair. Make sure to do a gentle massage until it touches the scalp, so that the process of removing dead skin cells can be optimized.

Blended with Aloe Vera

Aloe vera or aloe vera is thought to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. This content provides protection to the hair and scalp from the dangers of dandruff.

For the expected results, you can mix sugar with aloe vera meat.

You can apply this mixture directly to the scalp, while doing a gentle massage with your fingertips. Do it for 30 minutes, and rinse with clean running water afterwards.

Mix with essential oils

To help treat dandruff due to the buildup of dead skin cells on the head, you can use sugar that has been mixed with essential oils.

To do this, mix 10 tablespoons of sugar with 5 tablespoons of grapeseed oil and 3 drops of lemon or rosemary essential oil.

Apply this mixture to the scalp while doing a gentle massage in a circular direction. Leave it for an hour and rinse it off using running water afterwards.

Sugar for Dandruff, Watch This!

In fact, getting rid of dandruff with sugar cannot be generalized for everyone. This is because the causes of dandruff in each person can be different, not only due to the buildup of dead skin cells on the head.

"There are many causes of dandruff, not only the buildup of dead skin cells. Dandruff can also occur due to fungal infections or certain skin conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis, "said dr. Astrid.

Furthermore, dr. Astrid also said that there has been no valid research that really knows the effectiveness of eliminating dandruff with sugar.

"Some people may have experienced the benefits of sugar for dandruff. But from a medical point of view, there is no research that has discussed the effectiveness of sugar for dandruff," said dr. Astrid.

Furthermore, dr. Astrid also said, the use of sugar scrubs on the scalp might cause adverse side effects.

"Some of the negative effects that may occur, for example allergic reactions, the appearance of wounds on the scalp, or accumulation of oil, especially if the sugar scrub mixture is not cleaned thoroughly after being applied," said dr. Rashid.

Dandruff Doesn't Go Away, When Should You Go to the Doctor?

Tips to get rid of dandruff and Hair fall

As mentioned earlier, dandruff does not only occur due to the buildup of dead skin cells on the head. This condition can also occur due to other diseases.

Well, dandruff that occurs due to disease generally cannot be treated with home therapy. This incident needs treatment by a doctor.

As for some of the characteristics of dandruff complaints that should be consulted with a doctor, namely:

Dandruff is accompanied by red, itchy, scaly, and inflamed skin.
Dandruff occurs together with complaints of reddish patches, scaly and crusty skin.

Dandruff occurs continuously, even though you have done routine scalp care.

Interested in eliminating dandruff with sugar? Pay attention to the limitations that have been stated, so that you only feel the benefits without experiencing adverse side effects.

If dandruff still returns even though you have done maximum scalp care, you should immediately consult further with your doctor.

9 Reasons To Put Aloe Vera Gel On Your Face And Skin

9 Reasons To Put Aloe Vera Gel On Your Face And Skin

The incredibly useful Aloe plant has been prized as a healing herbal remedy since ancient times. Not only does it nourish the body from within – aiding digestion, providing beneficial nutrients and boosting immune function – but it can be used topically to enhance the health and beauty of your face, skin, hair and more.

Keep reading to find out why and how to use the Aloe Vera plant, the gel and the juice in your daily skin and hair regimen.

How To Harvest Aloe Vera Gel

Before we get into the “why” of using Aloe Vera gel for all of your natural health and beauty needs, let us briefly take a look at the process of harvesting gel from the plant.

First, select one or more large, fat leaves from around the base of the plant. Grip selected leaves near the base and pull gently but firmly. They should release fairly easily. Take care not to cut your fingers on the thorns lining the leaves as you do this.

Once you have harvested your Aloe leaves, use a sharp knife to slice away the thorny edge from one side of each leaf. Then slice the leaves open lengthwise so you have two long halves. Set the halves on your cutting surface, gel side up.

Finally, use a spoon to scrape the gel away from each leaf and into your chosen container. When you’ve finished using your harvested Aloe Vera gel, remember to refrigerate any unused portion.

If you don’t own an Aloe plant or if extracting the gel by hand is simply too cumbersome, I highly recommend Amara Organics Aloe Vera Gel as an excellent substitute for home-grown aloe.

6 Reasons To Put Aloe Vera Gel On Your Face & Skin

1. Soothe Sunburn

With anti-inflammatory and cooling properties, Aloe Vera gel is the perfect remedy for sunburned skin.

It provides a protective layer to the skin which helps retain moisture. Aloe is also rich in antioxidants and minerals which can help speed healing.

In one study, it was found that Aloe Vera gel displayed some anti-inflammatory effects superior to those of 1% hydrocortisone when applied over a 48-hour period. Researchers concluded that the gel might be useful in the topical treatment of inflammatory skin conditions such as UV-induced skin redness.

2. Moisturize

For a moisturizer that doesn’t leave a greasy film on your face, look no further than Aloe Vera. It softens the skin without clogging pores.

Aloe Vera gel can also be used as an aftershave treatment as it will both hydrate the skin and help heal razor burn and small nicks.

Research has shown that Aloe Vera extract is an effective natural substance for improving skin hydration – making it a useful ingredient in cosmetic formulations and as a treatment for dry skin.

3. Accelerate Wound Healing

Aloe is most commonly used as a topical treatment for cuts, burns and other wounds – and with good reason. A review of four experimental studies found that Aloe Vera may reduce the healing time of first or second degree burns by almost nine days, when compared to the control groups.

These incredible results may be explained by the fact that Aloe speeds up skin cell reproduction by as much as eight times and penetrates the epidermis (the outer layer of skin) four times faster than water, says Dr. Danhof of North Texas Research Laboratories.

4. Fight Aging

As it is rich in vitamins C and E and beta carotene (a pre-cursor to vitamin A), Aloe may have some anti-ageing qualities. Its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, and its ability to lighten blemishes, also help it take years off your face.
Furthermore, Aloe Vera can be taken in supplement form to fight aging, with some research finding that it increases the body’s production of collagen and improves skin elasticity in just 90 days.

5. Reduce Acne and Infection

Those with acne may want to try Aloe Vera’s gentle cleansing and antimicrobial properties to treat their pimples. This healing gel works on several levels.
Its antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties protect the skin from bacteria and other pathogens which lead to infection and inflammation. It contains substances – gibberellins and polysaccharides – that stimulate the growth of new cells, while glycoproteins reduce the inflammation and redness.

As an astringent, Aloe Vera reduces pore size, which helps keep out excess sebum, dirt, and microbes.

In Ayurvedic medicine, Aloe is also used to treat psoriasis and eczema.

6. Lighten Blemishes

Because of its abilities to speeds up skin cell reproduction, fight inflammation and reduce redness, Aloe Vera is a great natural treatment for acne scars and stretch marks.

With some added lemon juice, it may also help lighten age spots and freckles.

3 Reasons To Rub Aloe Vera Gel Into Your Hair & Scalp

1. Promote Healthy Hair Growth

Aloe Vera may help activate new hair growth by increasing the blood circulation to the scalp, and delivering several important vitamins and minerals. It contains proteolytic enzymes which repair dead skin cells on the scalp.

According to Diane Gage, author of Aloe Vera: Nature’s Soothing Healer, the main protein in hair (keratin) has a chemical makeup similar to that of Aloe Vera, which means this healing gel rejuvenates hair while giving it more elasticity. By improving elasticity, you will prevent breakage of the delicate hair strands, which is key when trying to grow out your locks.

2. Prevent Dandruff

Dandruff has a number of causes, including dry skin, fungal infections, and irritated, oily skin. Aloe Vera helps with all these conditions.

Its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties fight fungus, while the gel also hydrates and balances oiliness.

3. Nourish and Condition the Hair and Scalp

Apply Coffee Under Eye as Cream For Fine Lines And Dark Circles

Applying Coffee Under Eye as Cream For Fine Lines And Dark Circles

I know I can’t start my day without my cup of coffee. Besides tasting great and being a great pick me up, the caffeine in coffee is a wonderful beauty aid as well!

Why Coffee is Good For Skin?

Coffee contains significant amounts of many different antioxidants, including hydrocinnamic acids and polyphenols. Hydrocinnamic acids are very effective at neutralizing free radicals and preventing oxidative stress. While drinking coffee brings these benefits, helping one’s skin from the inside and out, the body can also soak them up in reverse.

Caffeine helps reduce dark circles and puffiness of the under eye area and it helps to increase blood circulation. This gives the skin a more rejuvenated and refreshed look. Before you decide to wash your face with the leftover coffee in your pot, let’s combine the power of caffeine with other beneficial skin ingredients to make a one of a kind under eye cream.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons coffee oil
  • 2 tablespoons virgin coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon organic beeswax
  • 2 teaspoons pure jojoba oil
  • 100% patchouli essential oil
  • wide mouthed glass jar
  • small saucepan

The Power of The Ingredients:

Coffee Oil

Coffee oil, like coffee, is naturally packed with antioxidants, along with caffeine, that works together to boost the skin’s own ability to restore, heal, firm and tighten. Caffe, in particular, as is well known for reducing puffiness and dark circles under the eyes while improving blood circulation to result in a fresh, rejuvenated look.

How To Make Coffee Oil:

The first step is to make coffee infused oil. I made it using the hot infusion method. Combine 4 tablespoons of ground coffee with 8 tablespoons of pure olive oil in a small sauce pan. Heat it over low heat for at least  30 minutes, stirring occasionally. You can also use a crock pot and heat it on low for few hours. Strain the oil using either cheesecloth or a coffee filter. This oil is perfect on its own as a light moisturizer.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil offers numerous benefits to the skin, including the skin around the eyes, to prevent dryness and fine lines. It contains vitamins and essential fatty acids that help promote healthy skin cells, including vitamin E and antioxidants that can heal and repair damaged skin. Its lactic acid content helps to tighten pores, making skin smooth and firm, while the oil’s anti-inflammatory properties work to reduce swelling and redness.

Beeswax

Known mostly for its conditioning properties, beeswax also has a number of other benefits for the skin, including an action that helps to calm and soothe. Beeswax creates a barrier that helps to seal moisture in the skin, and it also contains vitamin A, which promotes cell regeneration and helps to improve hydration, as it’s considered a humectant, meaning it “attracts” water, so when you put it on your skin, it attracts water molecules, keeping the skin more hydrated.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is filled with nutrients like vitamin E, B complex, zinc, copper, chromium, and selenium, which is known to strengthen the skin’s natural healing process to make it more supple, as well as to restore elasticity while gradually diminishing fine lines.

Patchouli Essential Oil

Thanks to its potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, patchouli essential oil is known for reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines in problem skin areas.

How To Apply Coffee Under Eye as Cream:

Put the coffee oil in a heat proof jar. Add the coconut oil and beeswax to the 2 tablespoons of coffee oil.

Melt the coconut oil, beeswax and coffee oil in a pan filled with 2 inches of water.

Once melted, remove from heat and add 4-5 drops of patchouli oil. Patchouli essential oil is perfect in this recipe because it regenerates new skin cells which keeps the skin looking young, healthy and vibrant. Patchouli is also great for all skin types. You can substitute lavender essential oil if you prefer.

Pour into a wide mouth container.

Let it cool and solidify. It’s okay if there are some residual coffee grounds.

Gently pat around eyes before going to bed or in the morning under the eye makeup to brighten your eyes.

8 Home Remedies To Remove Skin Tags

8 Home Remedies To Remove Skin Tags

Skin tags are small growths or flaps of skin which are usually found around the neck, eyes, underarms, breasts, or groin.

Thought to be caused by friction, skin irritation, obesity, and even genetics, these growths – which affect one in four people – are harmless. However, many people find them annoying, while others would like them gone for cosmetic reasons.

While you can visit your doctor to have skin tags burned off, cut off, or frozen off, at-home methods are usually much gentler, and more cost-effective.

Here are 8 home remedies to remove skin tags with minimal effort:

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

This incredibly versatile fermented vinegar is both antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, making it a great choice for removing skin tags.

First, wash and thoroughly dry the area around the tag. Apply some apple cider vinegar to a cotton ball and apply to the bump. You can secure or hold the cotton ball in place for up to 15 minutes. Repeat this procedure three times a day until the skin tag darken, dries, and eventually falls off.

Avoid using apple cider vinegar to treat skin tags located near the eyes.

2. Vitamin E Oil

A powerful antioxidant with important properties for skin health, Vitamin E can be applied topically to skin tags.

Use a pure, high-quality liquid Vitamin E that is formulated specifically for topical treatment (rather than breaking open a capsule intended for oral use), such as this bottle of Jason Vitamin E Oil.

Apply the liquid to the skin tag and cover with a bandage. Change the bandage and Vitamin E oil every day after cleansing the affected area. Repeat this process daily for several weeks or months until the tag is gone.

3. Tea Tree Oil

An antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antibiotic oil, tea tree has been used medicinally for centuries to fix all manner of ailments. It’s particularly effective at treating skin disorders, and is known to remove skin tags in a matter of weeks with daily application.

Simply soak a Q-tip in tea tree oil (such as this bottle of Plant Therapy Tea Tree Oil) and gently apply it to the skin tag three times a day, holding in place for up to 10 minutes. Using a Q-tip means the oil won’t come into contact with the skin around the tag. This is especially important for those who have sensitive skin, as they may find undiluted tea tree oil is irritating. Most people, however, won’t have any reaction.

If tea tree oil is causing you irritation, blend it with a soothing carrier oil like coconut, before applying topically. Be aware this may extend the treatment time.

4. Oil of Oregano

Oregano oil is a fantastic anti-fungal which can offer relief from several skin conditions, including skin tags.

Make a homemade oil of oregano by allowing fresh oregano to infuse with olive oil for several weeks, before straining. Alternatively, dilute oregano essential oil with a carrier oil like jojoba, or sweet almond.

Apply this oil directly to your skin tag three times a day. Allow to air-dry before covering with a dressing or bandage. Repeat this process daily until the skin tag dries out and falls off.

5. Iodine

Liquid iodine, such as this Life Plo Liquid Iodine, can be painted on to skin tags or warts once daily. Some say the skin tags will fall off within just days of the initial application!

Iodine is a natural element that breaks down the skin cells and causes them to safely fall off. Avoid applying the iodine to the surrounding skin – you can do this by rubbing a barrier of coconut oil onto the healthy skin, before applying the iodine with a Q-tip to the tag.

6. Garlic

This stinky herb is a fantastic natural medicine to keep in your pantry. It boasts antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties.

The juice released from a crushed clove of garlic is believed to remove both warts and skin tags naturally within a few weeks.

Simply crush one clove of garlic and soak it up with a cotton ball. Apply it at night to the skin tag and cover with a bandage. You’ll want to wash it off in the morning to eliminate garlic’s pungent odor!

Repeat the process the next night before taking a two-night break in order to reduce the risk of skin irritation. If you wish, you can alternate the garlic treatment and the more soothing Vitamin E oil treatment.

7. Dandelion Juice

Although many see dandelions as pesky garden weeds, they have so many health benefits and uses.

Dandelions may be effective at removing skin tags because of their rich vitamin and mineral content, which may help to break down and remove excess skin tissue.

Harvest fresh dandelion by pulling the plant from the ground, and squeezing the root gently to extract its milky sap. Apply three drops to the skin tag three times per day. The tag should be completely gone with just four weeks of continuous application.

8. Coconut Oil

It contains lauric acid – a powerful anti-microbial, which kills viruses, bacteria, protozoa, and fungi by dissolving their cellular walls.

Rub coconut oil into your skin tags every night before bed, and the tag should be greatly reduced, or have disappeared, within a few short weeks.

Coconut oil also works to remove warts in the same manner.

What Not To Do

Avoid picking at the tags or attempting to cut them off. If you do this, you’re increasing your risk of scarring and infection.

If a treatment – whether natural or over-the-counter – is causing you pain, skin irritation, or bleeding, discontinue its use. Gentler options, like coconut oil or Vitamin E oil, may be more suitable for those with sensitive skin. Skin tags around the eye or other sensitive area may also require this approach.

Don’t forget that skin tags are harmless, so if yours don’t bother you then it’s not necessary to remove them. As with any skin growths, consult your doctor or dermatologist if there is a visible change in their appearance, or they begin to cause you pain.
